HAPPY 2011 EVERYONE!!!! <—– Does that make up for me  #1 Not posting in F-O-R-E-V-E-R and #2 Not saying Happy New Year at like… well New Years?

I have several business related “resolutions” (hate that word, by the way… why can’t we just say “goals”?… gotta be all fancy and “resolve”) for 2011 and one is to actually bring my butt (the one I’m “resolving” to make smaller) downstairs and post some blogs so that you folks can see my AWESOME and SUPER BEAUTIFUL clients! <—– Does that help make up some more, too?

Last year was an pretty darn good year for Kristian Ogden Photography! I feel like the transition out of wedding portraits has been smooth, and if you haven’t noticed I have been doing quite a bit of newborn photography. I LOVE me some babies! I really appreciate all of you moms (and dads) who helped me with my big Newborn Project by allowing me to capture your precious bundle of JOY (because you were definitely thinking the word “JOY” when they were waking the neighbors with their 3AM screaming and spitting up all over your 4th outfit for the day). Yep, I love those precious little bundles of JOY!

I am really looking forward to what this new year will bring! I hope you and your family will have a blessed year! Please continue checking my blog… I promise resolve to be more consistent and hopefully more interesting too.

Columbus GA Maternity Photographer ~ Michelle and Thad

Michelle contacted me in response to my call for pregnant women because she indeed was pregnant. I met Michelle and her husband, Thad (whom I called Brad the entire session), up at Callaway for a beautiful morning. I thoroughly enjoyed the session with this sweet couple! My session with little John David Helms has been one of my favorite sessions! His daddy is John Helms, a good photographer of mine, so it was an especially fun session. Honestly, when I left, I wanted to have another baby so that I could do my own newborn pictures amongst my photography gear! How cool is that? John David was absolutely perfect the entire time. Baby Jude ~ Columbus, GA Newborn Photographer

You may remember Mike and Candice from their maternity session I did a couple of months ago. Sweet couple! Candice gave birth to an even sweeter baby boy! Jude is simply precious. Although he wanted to stay awake for most of the session to see what this crazy lady was doing to him, he still preformed quite well. I really enjoyed capturing these sweet images! Mike and Candice, thank you for making me a part of this special time in your lives.

Baby Olivia ~ Columbus, GA Newborn Photographer

Richard and Jessica have been going to our church for quite some time now, and today was the first time we have actually met! Crazy! How did I miss this wonderful family? Richard’s mom works with my mother-in-law, and she told Jessica about my call for newborns — I’m so glad she did! Miss Olivia was WONDERFUL! She was so relaxed and easy which means I had a blast! We even got a few shots of Olivia with her oh-so-cute, big brother, Owen. He did great too!

Jessica, Richard, thank you for allowing me to photograph your precious new addition at your lovely home. I enjoyed the time getting to you know a bit and hope we continue to do so now that we have faces with names. Enjoy your little preview!

Amanda’s Maternity Session ~ Columbus, GA maternity and newborn photographer

You guys are going to have to keep up with all my blog posts over the next few days. If this blog were a car, it just went from 0 mph to 90 mph in negative 5 seconds! Lots going on for K.O. Photography!

Anyhoo, Amanda was another one of my takers for the free maternity and newborn sessions. What was special about my session with Amanda was the fact that we actually went to school together at Richards Middle School, and maybe elementary school too, but I can’t remember. We had not seen each other since the last day of our eighth grade year… so about 12 years! Amanda still had the same sweet, quiet personality I remember, but it was definitely different seeing her grown up and pregnant at that! I’m sure I’ve changed a good bit myself since middle school.

Amanda’s step-daughter, Madelyn (hope I’m spelling that right), was in Columbus visiting for her spring break, so she joined Amanda for some of the shots. You can tell she already loves her little baby brother! Amanda, it was great to reconnect with you after so many years. I look forward to doing your newborn session soon too! Mike and Candice’s Maternity Session ~ Columbus, GA Maternity Photographer

Mike and Candice responded to my call for pregnant ladies, and we completed their maternity portrait session a couple of weeks ago. I had such a great time with Mike and Candice. Candice is pregnant with their first child… a baby boy who will be named Jude! I will also have the pleasure of doing Jude’s newborn portraits once he makes his grand entrance. I’m very excited about that! Mike, Candice, I really am glad I met you both, and I look forward to meeting Jude. I know he will be precious! Here are a few of my favorites from the session:

My Sweet Asher (11 months) – Columbus, GA Children’s Photographer

Today was a GORGEOUS day! I am so excited that spring has arrived, although summer can take it’s time. I was down a kid after lunch time, so I figured I would go location scouting with Asher. I usually don’t like shooting in the middle of the day, but I figured I would go ahead and snap a few while I had the chance. I can’t believe my sweet baby is almost a year old! I picked the RC Cola crate up the last time we were in Blairsville, GA. I thought it was kinda neat since Columbus is the home of Royal Crown… not to be confused with Crown Royal. Anyways, here are a few that I took today.

She Said YES! – Columbus, GA Engagement Photographer

A few months back, Mr. Colt Miley decided that he wanted to make Miss Erin Pringle his bride, so he came up with this awesome surprise engagement at the beautiful Scarborough Farm and SaultoPaul Chapel. Of course Erin said, “YES!” and so bam we have a wedding in the works. Colt asked me to shoot the wedding, and although I was technically not booking weddings, he won me over with flattery. So, our first order of business was the engagement session… which of course had to be at the Scarborough Farm. I LOVE that place. It’s so gorgeous! Although the barn area doesn’t really smell gorgeous. Anyways, here are my favs from the session. Colt and Erin, I hope you enjoy them! I had a blast with you guys!
